LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives announced that they have established the identity of the homicide victim that was found on Saturday morning in Reserve.
The victim was identified as Meshach Mason, 19, formerly of Reserve, prior to moving to Kenner. Officials said the cause of death was a gunshot wound. Mason’s death makes the 13th homicide in St. John the Baptist Parish this year.
