LaPlace woman wanted by Ascension Parish officials in connection with shooting

LAPLACE – Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking a LaPlace woman as the second suspect in shooting of a pregnant Gonzales woman.
On Wednesday, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the shooting of Kenyia Houston, 25, who was eight-months pregnant. Detectives are now actively seeking Tiffany Victor, 27, of 215 Medine Court in LaPlace, for accessory after the fact of attempted first-degree feticide and accessory after the fact of attempted second-degree murder.
At approximately 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Houston was leaving her residence when the alleged shooter, Cowan Collins, approached her vehicle and fired several shots at her. Houston fled the scene in her vehicle attempting to save herself and her unborn baby, but ended up wrecking her car at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 621 and Orleans Drive in Gonzales.
During the investigation, detectives booked 27-year-old Cowan Collins, Houston’s ex-boyfriend, on charges of attempted second degree murder, attempted first degree feticide and illegal use of weapons.
Houston was transported to an area hospital where she had an emergency delivery and underwent surgery for her wounds. Houston and her baby are in stable condition.
