St. Charles Parish Hospital held its annual pre-sports physicals for all St. Charles Parish Middle Schools on Saturday, Aug. 10.
This event is organized annually by the hospital at the request of the middle schools to provide parents a convenient way to get physicals for their children in time for the upcoming school athletic year. Coaches from several of the middle schools were present to meet the parents and children as well as answer any questions that they may have had.  
Physicals were provided from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and saw nearly 250 students in attendance. All students received a medical history screening, a thorough orthopedic screening and a comprehensive screening by physicians and staff. Doctors, nurses and physical therapists were all on hand to make sure the physicals meet all requirements set by the state for junior high athletes.
