LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Administration recently celebrated the grand opening of Hey, Gorgeous Hair Studio with owners Ashley Rodrigue and Kelley Loupe as well as a
host of family and friends.
The new salon is located at 928 Carrollwood Drive in LaPlace. Hey, Gorgeous Hair Studio has three licensed stylists offering a variety of services including hair coloring and trimming, event/specialty hair and colored extension application. Along with the standard hair services the team at Hey, Gorgeous offers makeup and waxing services. Summer specials consist of blow outs (shampoo and style) for $18 on Friday and Saturdays, and $10 off all Paul Mitchell hair products.
“Small business owners with the attitude and ambition like Ashley and Kelley are encouraging,” said St. John Economic Development Director Torri Buckles. “They took a chance, invested in St. John and have created new jobs in our parish.”
The duo has held an interest in cosmetology since they were young and searched for the perfect location to start their own business.
“We stopped talking about it and made it happen,” Kelley said. “We couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter and are open and ready to start serving the community,” said Ashley.
