Recently, American Legion Post 383 in LaPlace held its installation of officers for the coming year. The new State Commander, Jim Jackson, performed the honors. Those officers are Dave Gatt – Commander, Danny Hicks – Vice Commander, Hicks is also the new District 2 Commander, Gene Franques – Chaplain, Herb Hille – Vice Commander, Al Cutno – Adjutant, Richard Drum – Sgt. at Arms, Brent Tregre – Judge Advocate, Chris Daunhauer and Paul Brown – Color Bearers.
