Sylvia Lear Hidalgo, 84, passed away July 15, 2013, at 3:55 p.m. She was a native of Paulina and a resident of Lutcher.
She is survived by her children: Henry C. Hidalgo (friend, Cindy Tynes); Bryant P. Hidalgo (Lynnette); Richard J. Hidalgo (friend Molly Lee); Joanne H. Richard (Michael); a sister, Loretta L. Bonfiglio; nine grandchildren: Dylan and Dustin Hidalgo, Courtney Johnson (Lyle), Jennifer Hidalgo, Jeremy Hidalgo, Neil Richard (Michelle), Natalie Roussel (Cody) and Chad and Chris Hidalgo; and three great-grandchildren: Madeline, Alexa and Cooper Richard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. “Nonnie” Hidalgo; parents, James and Lillian Lear; brothers, Onezime Lear and Jimmie Lear; and sisters, Elarine L. Starns, and Rosetta L. Trosclair.
Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
