The Msgr. Eyraud Council 2436 Knights of Columbus of Reserve, recently held an alcohol and drug abuse poster contest. More than 80 St. Peter School students participated. A $25 gift card was given to students ages 8 to 11 and 12 to 14, There were four first-place winners. The posters were judged, and the winners were (left to right) Jenna Toups – 8 to 11, Haley Hickman – 12 to 14, Alicia Ferret – 12 to 14 and Mylah Joseph – 8 to 11. Standing in the middle is Burt Cashio, KC poster chairman. All the rest of the students who participated were given ice cream. The posters will now be sent to the district contest, and if there any winners they will go to the state contest.
