LaPlace – The River Region Arts and Humanities Council, or RRAHC, held its General Membership Meeting at the RRAHC office located at 301 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.
The General Membership Meeting was attended by approximately 50 RRAHC members and/or grant recipients. 2012 RRAHC President Harold Flynn Jr. called the meeting to order and presented the 2012 officers and board members, the 2013 Officers-Elect and the 2013 board members. Thanks for their years of service to RRAHC were given to outgoing board members Frederick “Rick” Treuting (2010), Carol Bourgeois (2011), Cindy Ordeneaux (2011) and Charley Hall (2011). New board members Juanita Marino, St. Charles Parish, and Julia Remondet, St. John the Baptist Parish were announced and introduced.  
The RRAHC Board of Directors and its members recognized and awarded the 2013 grant funding to several local River Parish organizations. Flynn, Marilyn Smith and Sharon Kell, representing the RRAHC Grants Committee, presented 32 grants or sponsorships totaling $24,900.
