A good heart rests well

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I often say that I can sleep well at night because I have a good heart and do right by others. I don’t intentionally cause harm even when it is the other way around. I’m not denying that the thoughts haven’t come across my mind. If I wrote that the thoughts don’t come, then the truth would not be in it.

Remembering that I will reap what I sow holds me accountable for not doing it. Identifying what or who holds us accountable plays an important role in the standards we have in our life. For me it’s God’s word and reverence for him. I don’t do unrighteous acts because my flesh doesn’t desire to do it. I don’t do it because of what and who I am accountable too.

As we grow in God’s word and reverence unto him our character should also. Doing somethings that we use to do should be off the agenda. Our now list should include how to help instead of bringing harm to others. This cannot happen when there are no principles or someone who we deem with high regards to hold us accountable. I have learned how to be accountable to others who God have placed over me in position and most importantly to God! Accountability helps with keeping our heart in line to do good by others. For there is no rest for the wicked but for those who have a good heart rest awaits at night for them. So do good, stay accountable and rest well in Jesus name.

God Bless!
