LAPLACE — The LaPlace Lions Club, First United Methodist Church of LaPlace, and the Lutheran Church of the Galilean are coming together to host a family movie night Saturday, August 19 at 301 Bamboo Road in LaPlace. The move shown will be “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.”

All attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and blankets. Please arrive at 7:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 8 p.m. Free popcorn will be available for the first 250 people. The first 150 people will also receive a free snowball. Snowballs will then be sold for $2 – first come, first served.

“Firm foundations in a community are first formed by strong families and relationships that live FOR the community, not just in it,” said Melynie Wright, member of the LaPlace Lions Club and the First United Methodist Church. “Togetherness makes communities better!”
