LULING — THE FEATHER FUND NOLA is hosting a kick-off event with St. Charles Parish at the 33rd Annual Independence Day Fireworks Display at the West Bank Bridge Park. Beginning at 5:30 pm, The Feather Fund NOLA will present performances by the Big 6 Brass Band and an appearance by Aboriginal Carnival Indians, A Tribe Called Gumbolia. Following the Indians, the Bucktown Allstars will take the stage before the culminating fireworks show.
In partnership with St. Charles Parish, Shell, United Way of St. Charles Parish, the River Parishes Tourist Commission, and the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the Feather Fund seeks to bring Louisiana culture and entertainment around the state. This event creates a festive introduction to St. Charles Parish, which has served as a welcoming home to promote STEAM activities, workforce opportunities, and cultural celebration within the parish. In October 2023, The Feather Fund NOLA will host a two-day Aboriginal Cultural Festival to celebrate the various pioneering people that settled Louisiana.
