Parks & Recreation to offer Garden Mini-Camp & Flag Football camps

LULING – The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is excited to announce its camp offerings for the month of – the inaugural Garden Mini Camp hosted by Caring Strategies and Flag Football Camp hosted by Ochsner Sports Performance. Registration opens June 1 online at https://www.scpparksandrec.com/activities/summer-camp.
Garden Mini-Camp
Garden Mini-Camp, presented by Caring Strategies, is a one-week camp from June 26 – June 30 offered to 6 to 10-year-olds at the Sacred Heart School Cafeteria in Norco. Children will create a garden and grow herbs and vegetables found on pizza using critical thinking skills and problem-solving techniques. At the end of the camp, they will take home their pizza garden.
Space is limited to 15 campers. The cost per camper is $140, which includes pizza kit and a pizza lunch on the final day of camp. Parents can register their children here.
Registration is open until June 24 or until the camp reaches capacity.
Flag Football Camp
Flag Football Camp is a three-day camp at the West Bank Bridge Park Multi-Purpose Field for children 5 to 14 years old. Ochsner Performance Training presents the camp, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
