St. James Sheriff’s Office investigates Lutcher shooting

April 4, at 1:55pm, the St. James Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a person shot on North Courseault Street, in Lutcher. When deputies arrived on scene, one person was found shot. The victim was brought to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim is identified as Felton Wallace, 41 years old, from Lutcher.
Information was developed that a gray Nissan Altima, 4-door, with dark tinted windows was seen leaving the scene, headed towards 5th Street, in Lutcher.
Detectives are seeking any assistance from the public in identifying any individuals or the vehicle involved in this shooting. Anyone with information on the murder of Felton Wallace is asked to contact St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-562-2200 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers GNO. Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans will offer a cash reward up to $250 for any tips that lead to an arrest and indictment. Additionally, Crime Stoppers will offer a cash reward of $1000 that leads to the recovery of the gun used in this murder or any gun used in a crime.
