Luling clerk arrested for selling to underaged person

Sheriff Champagne announces the arrest of Khalil Alaeddin Mohamed, a twenty-two-year-old male from Gretna for the Unlawful Sale of Tobacco.
On Sunday, January 1, 2023 deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of parents that caught their sixteen-year-old son smoking a vape in his bedroom.
Through investigation, detectives determined the juvenile purchased the vape from Mohamed at the Lakewood Shell Station in Luling. Detectives obtained sufficient probable cause to request an arrest warrant, signed by a 29th Judicial District Court Judge, for Khalil Alaeddin Mohamed.
On Monday, February 6, 2023. Mohamed was arrested and charged with Unlawful Sale/Purchase/Possession of Tobacco, booked at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center, and was released after bonding out.
This is the 4th Offense of the Lakewood Shell Station and the 1st Offense of Mohamed.
