SJSO seeks help locating man with active warrants for contractor fraud

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Wojciech Niznik who has three active warrants for contractor fraud in St. John Parish. In the summer of 2022, the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office received complaints from local residents in reference to contractor fraud committed by Niznik.
Niznik’s last known address was in Hammond. He also has ties to Illinois. He is originally from Poland.
Anyone who has information on Niznik’s whereabouts should contact Det. Lt. Michael Shard of the SJSO Cyber/Financial Crimes Unit at 985-359-8764.
Anyone who has a similar complaint that has not been reported should call Det. Lt. Shard as soon as possible.
