As part of the Mimosa Park Elementary School reading program, Perci’s Pals, the top homerooms in kindergarten, first and second grade receive a visit from the school mascot, Perci the Pelican.

These classes earn this privilege by reading the highest number of minutes, as a homeroom, within their respective grade levels.

Perci visited Cheryl Jones’ kindergarten class, Gayle Robert’s first grade class and Gayle Simoneaux’s second grade class for reading the most throughout the month of September.
