ST. JAMES 56, SOPHIE B. WRIGHT 12 — Lowell Narcisse had another spectacular night, passing for 200 yards and accounting for five touchdowns in the first quarter alone in a blowout of District 8-2A foe Wright. Dontaze Costly hauled in four touchdown receptions to go with 136 yards. St. James (4-4, 3-2) led 37-6 after the first quarter of play.

PLAQUEMINE 28, LUTCHER 14 – The Green Devils bested the Bulldogs (4-4, 1-2) for the second consecutive season with a win Friday night. D’morea Wicks ran for three touchdowns to lead Plaquemine, which outgained Lutcher 397-202. Jontre Kirklin led Lutcher with a touchdown run and a touchdown pass, completed to Gregory Clayton.

HAHNVILLE 58, H.L. BOURGEOUS 8 — Hahnville’s ascending offense reached a new peak Friday night. Brandon Singleton hauled in three touchdown passes from Austin Perrin, and Jai Knight scored on an interception to pace the Tigers (5-3, 3-2) to a season-high point total and third district victory. Perrin also rushed for a 50-yard score.

DESTREHAN 55, SOUTH LAFOURCHE 0 — Class 5A No. 2 Destrehan nearly totaled 500 yards of offense in a district rout, led by a dominant defensive effort and quarterback Malcolm Darensbourg, who rushed for two scores and tossed two touchdown passes. Alfred Smith, Jon Barrow, John Williams and Tremaine Armstrong all caught touchdown passes for DHS (8-0, 5-0).
