BOUTTE – River Parishes Community College (RPCC) revealed a plaque on Thursday, June 2 at the United Way of St. Charles campus to announce a partnership with Matthew 25:35 Ministries and Hope Church for the Rougarou Cupboard Food Pantry.
“Matthew 25:35 Ministries is so honored to partner with the RPCC Rougarou Cupboard Food Pantry. Our mission is not to just give out food but to find ways to help people grow in their journey to become self-sufficient,” said Matthew 25:35 Ministries President and Executive Director Mary Anne Schindler. “This partnership is a prime example of how that can be done. We are so excited to help serve the families attending the Rougarou Cupboard Food Pantry in any way we can.”
The Rougarou Cupboard will provide supplemental food to River Parishes Community College – United Way of St. Charles campus students who may experience hunger or food insecurity. With the growth in low-income students, the Rougarou Cupboard is essential to removing the food insecurity educational barrier for students.
“The Mission of Hope Church is to bring Hope to St. Charles Parish and beyond. We do that by loving God, loving people and living generously. It is our privilege to partner with RPCC and sponsor the Rougarou Cupboard Food Pantry to help lessen the burden of our students fulfilling their educational goals,” said Lead Pastor of Hope Church Thomas Hines.
If you wish to make donations, please drop off non-perishable items to the St. Charles campus.
