RESERVE — The United States Marine Corps, the local Toys for Tots organization, in coordination with St. John the Baptist Parish will host a toy giveaway from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Riverlands Christian Center in Reserve.

Admission is free, and live entertainment, refreshments and prizes will be offered.

Pre-registration is not required.

The United States Marine Corps collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December and distributes those as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.

Through gifts, members aspire to deliver a message of hope that will assist children in becoming responsible and productive citizens, organizers said.

Riverlands Christian Center is located at 480 NW 3rd St. in Reserve.
