This past weekend, Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations worked with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office in an effort to keep Mardi Gras parades in Terrebonne Parish safe and enjoyable for everyone in attendance. Law enforcement personnel kept a watchful eye for criminal activity along parade routes. This multiagency partnership resulted in nineteen handguns being recovered, some of which were reported stolen as well as illegal narcotics. State Police will continue to work with other agencies throughout the Mardi Gras season with the goal of providing a safe environment for all who attend parades across our state. #MardiGras2022
