St. James Parish teacher arrested for sex crimes

On January 11, 2022, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrested Lisa Samuels, 50 years old, from Donaldsonville, for Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Molestation of a Juvenile. Ms. Samuels is a teacher within the St. James Parish School System.
Through investigation it was determined that Ms. Samuels had inappropriate contact with a juvenile. The facts were presented to a judge and an arrest warrant was obtained.
Suspect is innocent until proven guilty.
