Hazel Watson Reid, 86, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.

She was a native of Groveton, Texas, and a resident of LaPlace since 1977.

She was the beloved wife of John K. Reid; loving mother of John R. Reid (Mary); and grandmother of Devon C. Reid (Sarah).

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Valton Watson and Ione Hayes Watson; brothers, Valton Junior, Louis Leon and Thomas Murphy Watson; and sister, Dorothy Watson Hawes.

She leaves behind her two devoted care givers, Kathy Hampton and Samantha Montgomery.

Relatives and friends attended the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Thursday, Nov 6. Interment was in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred in Hazel’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 2605 River Rd., New Orleans, LA 70121.
