Hahnville, LA – Today, the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation announced the suspension of all fall activities and closure of facilities until further notice due to damage caused by Hurricane Ida.
Refunds or credits for fall sports will be granted. Parents of enrolled athletes will receive an email from the department regarding this process, however residents are asked to be patient.
For the safety of residents, all parks are closed as well. The department is conducting assessments, inspections and vital repairs to all 52 community parks and will re-open them when deemed safe.
The Edward A. Dufresne Community Center remains closed as well.
