LAPLACE — Residents who need assistance clearing damage from Hurricane Ida can call the Home Cleanup Hotline at 844-965-1386.
This hotline will connect residents with volunteers from local relief organizations who may be able to assist with cutting fallen trees; drywall, flooring and appliance removal; tarping roofs; and mold mitigation.
All services are free, but service is not guaranteed due to the overwhelming need. The hotline will remain open through Friday, Oct. 1, 2021.
Volunteers work free of charge and provide the tools and equipment to complete home cleaning work. Please note, the Hurricane Ida Home Cleanup Hotline cannot assist with social services such as food, clothing, shelter, insurance or questions about FEMA registration.
