LAPLACE — St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre has announced that two of his officers were among 15 graduates of the Peace Officer Standards and Training program (POST) conducted at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Training Facility in Luling. The 15-week program included training in firearms, physical fitness, Louisiana criminal and traffic law, writing reports, conducting interrogations and general investigative techniques.

Deputies George Loupe and Daniel Reed were recognized as certified Peace Officers May 14, 2021 during POST graduation at the Luling facility.

Sheriff Tregre said he is very proud of these officers for their successful completion of this rigorous and intense training.
