RESERVE — Seniors Gage Larvadain and Ashley Hymel were honored as the Male and Female Athletes of the Year during Riverside Academy’s annual athletic banquet, held May 12 in the Rebels gym.

This year’s banquet recognized athletes in all fall, winter and spring sports since the COVID-19 pandemic limited gatherings for individual athletic teams.

Outgoing athletic director and boys basketball coach Timmy Byrd presented the first Jared Butler Basketball Award for academics, attitude and sacrifice to senior Tairyn Lockhart.

Head football, girls basketball and track coach Kevin Dizer awarded the annual Jalen Banks Coaches Award for boys track to Chamar Jackson.
