SCSO Corrections Deputies complete course

This week deputies assigned to the SCSO Corrections Division completed the department’s nationally accredited FTO (Field Training Officer) program at the SCSO Training Division. The Senior FTOs assigned to the Training Division conducted the 4-day 40-hour certification course, which is certified through Applied Police Training And Certification (APTAC).
These deputies will now be responsible for training and evaluating newly hired correctional officers to determine if they are ready to serve in the correctional capacity.
