 JEFFERSON PARISH ANIMAL SHELTER is teaming up with NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE AMERICA for Tour For Life 2021 – the world’s largest national cooperative, life-saving pet adoption event – in partnership with Purina®, for a weeklong celebration at their East Bank and West Bank locations. From Monday, March 29 through Saturday, April 3, adoption fees are $67.00 for one animal or $100 when you adopt two animals.  Additionally, all approved adopters will receive giveaways provided by Purina.

Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter is doing adoptions By Appointment Only.  Potential adopters are asked to visit jpas.petfinder.com to look at the animals available for possible matches.  Appointments can be made by:

• Calling the East Bank shelter at (504) 736-6111

 When arriving at Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter locations for your appointment, masks are required.  Staff prefers to limit it to two people per appointment (they will work with potential adopters if children will be in attendance as well.)

 This year’s events have been reimagined to accommodate COVID-19 health and safety protocols.  Tour For Life remains committed to its mission of generating awareness of the plight of homeless animals. Tour For Life 2021 will run throughout March and April with weeklong events in 53 cities/towns in 37 states, spotlighting local shelter partners/rescue groups dedicated to finding homes for the animals in their care.
