COVID-19 testing at Community Center discontinued; here’s where to get tested in St. John

LAPLACE — The Louisiana Department of Health and Ochsner will no longer administer free COVID-19 testing on Fridays at the Community Center. As we receive more information about future COVID-19 testing and/or vaccinations, it will be released.
The following facilities in St. John the Baptist Parish are currently administering COVID-19 testing per the LDH website:
Teche Action Clinic – Edgard – No appointment needed, no cost and insurance not required
Teche Action Clinic – Reserve – No appointment needed, no cost and insurance not required
The Urgent Care of LaPlace – Accepts all types of insurance, Walk ins welcome
Walgreens LaPlace – No cost
Riverside Urgent Care is also conducting COVID-19 testing (which includes rapid), and walk ins are welcome.
