Mardi Gras parades were cancelled this year in St. John the Baptist Parish and across Southeast Louisiana, but that did not stop locals from getting into the Carnival spirit. St. John the Baptist Parish hosted its first “Throw me your best Yardi Gras” by inviting residents to submit photos of their decked-out yards. More photos of Mardi Gras “house floats” and yard decorations can be found on the St. John Parish social media pages.
