St. James Sheriff’s Office investigates crimes related to motor vehicle break-in/theft

On February 11, just after 6:30 am, the Sheriff’s started receiving phone calls of vehicles broken into in the Paulina area.
Deputies responded to the various calls and found that vehicles were broken into in Longview Subdivision, Bellevue Lakes Subdivision and North Nobile Subdivision. Valuables were taken out of most of the vehicles. Detectives have been able to determine there were three individuals involved. These individuals were in the Paulina area for about an hour.
It was also reported that two vehicles were stolen. The Sheriff’s Office was able to recover one of the stolen vehicles in New Orleans.
Attached are pictures taken from home surveillance systems. If any residents in these areas have any home surveillance video, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 225-562-2200 and arrangements will be made to collect the surveillance.
