HAHNVILLE  – The Department of Parks and Recreation will accept applications for use of the Bonnet Carre Spillway camping sites beginning Monday, Nov. 16. The primitive camping area offers many outdoor experiences and are free of charge. However, there is no water or electricity. The application can be found online here: https://www.scpparksandrec.com/facilities/spillway-rental.

Camp site requests should be made 24 hours prior to arrival and weekend request should be made by Thursday to allow time for processing. Sites can be reserved for up to 14 days in one month and all applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license or ID. Camping areas should be left free of trash and debris one the permit has expired.
