On Friday, September 18, seven seniors were trained to be Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion in the SCC Chapel by co-Chaplains Father David Ducote and Father Steve Dardis.
Dominic Joseph, Blakey Heltz, Logan Forsythe, Jacob Todd, Emily Ronnenburg, Luke Boucvalt, and Lauren St. Martin received an in-depth training on the role of an EMHC as well as the beauty and sacredness of the Eucharist.
These “Eucharistic Ambassadors” as Father Ducote referred to them as will be serving SCC during all school masses. They will also be serving in their church parish.
The first schoolwide mass is scheduled for Friday, October 23, and will be celebrated by Father Steve Dardis. These senior Comets are excited to actively participate in the mass and bring the Eucharist to their classmates.
