LAPLACE — JAM’s Bottles Up is bringing a wide selection of liquor, wine, specialty drinks and tobacco and CBD products to St. John the Baptist Parish in a friendly atmosphere sure to make every customer feel at home.
The new business is projected to open next week at 1036 W. Airline Highway Ste. 122, near the front of the Cambridge subdivision. Store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
JAMS’s Bottles Up will offer a variety of top shelf liquors, wine, beer, sodas and juices, in addition to a specialty drink similar to a frozen daiquiri. The store will also offer cigarettes, smokeless tobacco and CBD products.
Customers who do not find their desired drink are encouraged to use the suggestion box to help the managers create an inventory that will fulfill the community’s needs.
Managers Jamall Meyer and Anitra Scott said LaPlace is an ideal location because it is a thriving city that has seen substantial growth in the last 10 years. As St. John Parish residents, Meyer and Scott are happy to bring something new to the community that they love.
“The part that makes me most excited is the fact that we are doing it together,” Scott said. “It’s hopefully the beginning of many more ventures together. Our philosophy is ‘teamwork makes the dream work.’”
Meyer said they will stay focused on the dream they have together and find ways to serve the community in the process.
“I want to branch out and get involved within the community more, support fundraisers for some of the different events throughout the parish and show our presence in a positive way,” Meyer said.
Meyer said JAM’s Bottles Up is the perfect place to stock up on drinks before a party. He said locals have a lot to celebrate, especially during football season as they cheer on the Saints, LSU and the talented River Parish high school teams.
The managers said a personal touch is what will separate JAM’s Bottles Up from other liquor stores across the region.
“I want everybody to come in, feel comfortable, feel welcome and just have a good time. Not only will we have what they are looking for; we will make them feel so at home,” Meyer said.
The store opening is projected for next week, and a grand opening celebration complete with mouth-watering barbecue or a seafood boil is planned for later this month.
