LAPLACE — Supreme Ford teamed up with American Legion Post 383 in LaPlace Saturday for a cookout on Supreme’s car lot.

Post Commander Dave Gatt said he and his team were pleased with the community response.

The sales of chicken dinners, hamburgers and hot dogs provided funds to send candidates to Boys and Girls State.

Gatt said this was the most successful event since the partnership began and it was the first time the Legion Post utilized its new, professional barbecue pit and smoker.

Plans are being made for an encore event in October.
