LAPLACE — No one was injured Tuesday night during an apparent drive-by shooting, authorities said.

An 18-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man told St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies they were talking in front of the residence in the 700 block of Bienville Street in LaPlace when a man fired several gunshots in their direction from a car.

Deputies responded at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday and found no one injured.

“The car fled the area traveling south on Greenwood Drive,” a release from the Sheriff’s Office said. “Deputies saw a bullet hole in the truck that was parked in the driveway.”

The shooter’s car is described as a silver Nissan Sentra.
