LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Central Library is hosting Johnette Downing next week.

An author and multi-award-winning New Orleans singer, songwriter and children’s musician, Downing plans to bring her special brand of spice to the St. John Parish Central Library.

The program starts at 10 a.m. July 9 at the library, 2920 New U.S. 51 in LaPlace The performance is designed for all ages.
