COMMUNITY BRIEF: Cashio fundraiser

A fundraiser for Hayden Cashio is scheduled from 5 – 8 p.m. Feb. 27 at the VFW Hall located at 205 W 5th St. in LaPlace. Plate dinners are $10 per plate and include smoked chicken leg quarters, dirty rice, corn and bread.

Hayden is the son of Ryan Cashio, owner of Cajun Grill and Catering. He is also a graduate of the Riverside Class of 2018. He was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor very close to the primary language area. The tumor presents the doctors with a very complicated surgical case.
