Southern Magnolia Pageant raises funds for childhood cancer

DESTREHAN—The Southern Magnolia Pageant, which raises awareness of childhood cancer, was held Jan. 25 in Destrehan. Funds are raised to benefit St Baldrick’s Foundation.

The Queens will raise awareness by traveling throughout Louisiana speaking on behalf of their organization and raising funds through various fundraisers.

To date the following are planned:

  • St Baldrick’s Shaving event at Finn McCool’s Irish Pub in New Orleans – Mar. 21. There will be 50/50 raffles and a Disney vacation drawing.
  • A fishing tournament at Bob’s Black Marina in Gibson, LA on April 18.
