Members of the LaPlace Volunteer Fire Department completed an Emergency Medical Responder Certification Class. Participants included, from left, Brady Ross, Evan Mullins, Lane Gendron, Norman Ross III and Ovide Chenier III. The training emphasized activating the EMS System, CPR, AED certification and providing immediate care for life-threatening illnesses, injuries and preparing for the arrival of an ambulance.
