The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in the Charlestowne Subdivision in St. Rose, LA shortly after 9 p.m. on Nov. 25. Deputies found a 42-year-old male and a 44-year-old female, both with apparent gunshot wounds inside the residence. The female subject was taken by helicopter to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The male subject was pronounced deceased while at the scene.
At this time all evidence indicates that the male and female knew each other, and had recently separated from a non-marital relationship. On the night of the incident, evidence and statements taken from witnesses indicate that the male subject had arrived at the female’s residence to speak with her. An altercation ensued and evidence indicates that the male subject shot the female subject before taking his own life with the firearm.
Currently, the female subject is still in critical condition at University Medical Center due to her injuries sustained from being shot.
If anyone has any information about this incident they are urged to contact Detective Kevin Tennison of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985)783-1135 or call (985)783-6807
