NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Attorney Peter G. Strasser announced that David Pittman, age 49, of St. John the Baptist Parish, pleaded guilty on Nov. 21 to conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Pittman faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 years, a maximum life sentence, a possible fine of $10,000,000, and at least five years of supervised release. The Honorable Wendy B. Vitter, United States District Judge, will sentence Pittman on Feb. 18, 2020.

U.S. Attorney Strasser praised the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration and St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Long is in charge of the prosecution.
