The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday on Pine Lane in St. Rose, LA.

Shortly after 9 p.m. the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in the Charlestowne Subdivision in St. Rose, LA. Deputies arrived on scene and located a 42-year-old male and a 44-year-old female, both with apparent gunshot wounds inside the residence. The female subject was taken by helicopter to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The male subject was pronounced deceased while at the scene.

At this time, evidence indicates that this was an isolated incident between the two subjects and there does not appear to be any perceivable threat to the community.
