St. John Parish to hold surplus auction

LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Council will publicly auction surplus vehicles, heavy equipment, office furniture and other miscellaneous items from Dec. 3 to Dec. 12.
The auction will be held online at govdeals.com/sjbparish. Louisiana law prohibits St. John Parish employees and members of their immediate families from bidding on St. John Parish auction items. Immediate family refers to an employee’s spouse, children and their spouses, brothers, sisters, spouses of brothers and sisters, parents and spouse’s parents.
All questions and answers relating to bid items must be posted through the Public Surplus website so the information can be shared by all potential bidders of the site. No questions will be answered by calling the contact person.
Auction items must be picked up by Dec. 31. Failure to pick up may result in forfeiture of the auction item. Prospective participants may inspect office equipment, furniture, etc. to be sold at 102 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. or between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 2-5 and Dec. 9-12.
Vehicles may be inspected at the same time and dates above at the Captain Bourgeois Facility, located at 425 Captain G. Bourgeois St. in LaPlace. All items are being sold as-is and where-is, and no warranty is given as to the usefulness or merchantability of any item sold. There will be no refunds.
