NORCO — The St. Charles Parish Pageant Festival Committee is seeking contestants for the 56th annual pageant “Winter Wonderland” to be held at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Sacred Heart School in Norco.

Contestants must be 17-23 for the Miss Division and 13-16 for the Teen Division and reside in St. Charles Parish. The newly crowned queens, along with their courts, will receive scholarships. The 56th Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queen will also compete in the Louisiana Queen Sugar Pageant in New Iberia in September.

The Miss and Teen St. Charles Parish Festival Queens will represent St. Charles Parish during their reign and have the opportunity to travel to many fairs and festivals statewide.

Also, the St. Charles Parish Festival Committee is looking for “Sweethearts,” girls between 3-12 interested in escorting our Miss and Teen Contestants.

An informational meeting for contestants will be held at 6 p.m. July 28 at the K.C. Home in Norco. Tickets for the St. Charles Parish Festival pageant are $8 at the door.

Also, the 15th Annual Parish of Plenty Pageant is seeking contestants.

The pageant will be held Aug. 3 at Sacred Heart School in Norco.

The entry fee for the pageant for all divisions is $50. Admission into the pageant is $3 for everyone. The dress code is Sunday best for Baby Miss through Jr. Miss. Crowns, and monogrammed banners will be awarded to all Queens. Queen, alternates, photogenic, fashion, prettiest hair, prettiest smile and prettiest eyes will be awarded in each group.

All proceeds to benefit the St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant scholarship fund. All queens will be presented during the 56th annual the St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant later that evening at Sacred Heart School.

Registration for all categories is between 1 and 1:30 p.m., and the pageant begins at 1:30 p.m. for all seven divisions. There are seven category age groups for each categories between baby and 12 years old.
