LAPLACE —Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church is hosting a group to support those touched by cancer.

The Hope & Faith Cancer Support Ministry will continue the “Square One” Healing Cancer Coaching program at 6:30 p.m. on August 28 at the Ascension of Our Lord Church Piovan Parish Hall, located at 799 Fairway Drive in LaPlace.

The support group theme is How Exercise & Rest Activate Healing it focuses on how to get the optimal amount of exercise and rest to improve odds of healing cancer or preventing it.

Topics include: The best exercise for the immune system; practical ways to move; how much sleep is really needed; hidden sleep

disruptors; creating the right conditions for healing sleep; and more.
