LAPLACE — Charles Beard, 60, of LaPlace was arrested August 16 in connection with an investigation begun by the FBI of New Orleans Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with assistance from the St. John Sheriff’s Office in January 2019.

Based on investigation, officers executed a search warrant at Beard’s home in the 100 block of Oak Point Court in LaPlace, where officers found Beard in possession of images of child pornography.

Beard was charged with 11 counts of child pornography. He was released August 17, 2019.
