BOSTON — A Garyville teacher recently picked up some expert advice to help implement engineering in the classroom.
Garyville-Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School teacher Anya Williams participated in the Engineering is Elementary teacher workshop at the Museum of Science in Boston.
Williams was one of 32 educators nationwide selected for the Raytheon-Engineering is Elementary Teacher Scholarship Program, which supports teachers in their implementation of the EiE engineering curriculum in their classrooms.
EiE helps elementary school educators and their students enhance their understanding of engineering and technology concepts and supports science learning through professional development workshops and curriculum resources.
