HAHNVILLE — Judge M. Lauren Lemmon sentenced Jakorey Williams to life in prison without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence for the second-degree murder of Anthony Fletcher in 2017.

On November 19, Anthony Fletcher, who was known locally as rapper Anthony “TC” Cole, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and neck on Meadows Drive, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Williams was convicted in April after an 8½-day jury trial that resulted in a unanimous verdict. Williams, 21, was arrested on May 1, 2018 following a homicide investigation conducted by the St. Charles Parish Sheriffs Office. Julie Cullen and Rochelle Champagne Fahrig prosecuted the case.

Anthony Fletcher’s sister addressed the defendant and the court before sentencing, delivering an impact statement detailing the victim as a beloved son, brother and father prior to his murder.

District Attorney Joel T. Chaisson II said the sentence imposed was the only just conclusion to the case.

“The prosecution of this case presented many challenges and, as a result of the diligence and hard work of the St. Charles Parish Sheriffs Office and my prosecution team, a conviction was secured,” Chaisson said. “Although there are no winners in this case, hopefully, the victim’s family, which has lost their son, brother and father, can gain some solace in the fact that the perpetrator of this crime will spend the rest of his life in jail and will never be able to perpetrate another crime in St. Charles Parish.”
