Man killed by multiple gunshots in Gramercy, police say

GRAMERCY – Terrence Johnson, 28, of Gramercy was shot “multiple times” and pronounced dead June 21, according to the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The Gramercy Police Department and St. James Sheriff’s Office were alerted to shots fired in the area of South Airline Avenue and West Railroad Street in Gramercy in the early hours of the morning on June 21. Authorities located Johnson on West Railroad Street and determined he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The St. James Sheriff’s Office did not confirm how many times Johnson had been shot.

No additional information has been released in this case as of Thursday afternoon, and police say investigation is ongoing.
